Membership Information

Roadford Lake Sailing Club is an RYA affiliated club sailing at Roadford Lake to promote the sport of sailing and dinghy racing in cooperation with South West Lakes Trust. The Club has a relatively small membership, but is keen to grow. Provided a boat is acceptable to SW Lakes Trust and is launchable on the lake, it would be accepted by the club. Most of the racing is on a handicap basis, and there is a steadily growing fleet of Supernovas. The club races on Sundays through most of the year, and club regattas are often held over bank holiday weekends. The club of course benefits from water watch & rescue provided by the Trust, so unlike many clubs, rescue duties are not required.

Sailing Club members must be members of the SW Lakes Trust and most keep their boats on site, although it is possible to pay a daily launch fee. The Trust also provides boat hire and tuition so please visit the Trust website for further info or email the office at Roadford Lake at .

Sadly the Sailing Club has no clubhouse at present but at some stage it is hoped that the Trust may be able to help with providing a facility. Members use the Trust facilities for changing and the new shower block is very good.

If you would like to join in racing, a daily fee of £2 is charged for non-members and visitors.

So why not come and join us? Application forms and further information available on the following links:
