RLSC Goodacre Cup 2024

Roadford Lake Sailing Club is pleased to announce that the 2024 Goodacre Cup will be held on August 24th/25th/26th 2024. The Goodacre Cup is an open event, although the trophy itself will be presented to the first finisher who is a member of RLSC. Races are planned as follows:

Saturday 24th - 2 races starting from 1315

Sunday 25th - 3 races starting from 1100

Monday 26th - 2 races starting from 1030

A BBQ is planned for Saturday evening weather permitting, which will possibly move to Sunday if the forecast is more promising!

Race fees will be £15 for the event or £10 per day for individual days. South West Lakes Trust (SWLT) launch fees will be payable, but a 10% discount code is available for entries. Visitors who havent been given the code from their fleets or club should email the Commodore (Richard Willows).

Camping is available on site via SWLT.

The Organising Authority is the Roadford Water Sports Centre, with race management provided by Roadford Lake Sailing Club.

Roadford Lake is the largest inland water in the SW and sits at a height of 120 metres between Dartmoor and the North Coast. it tends to get any wind that's available and can provide challenging conditions throughout the year.

Lakeside Café on the opposite side of the lake does a good range of meals and snacks. Dogs are allowed on site on a lead, and there is a woodland dog-walk via the dam to the Café.
